Saturday (the 19th) was our 1st Wedding Anniversary! We celebrated that day, and the weekend before.
The Friday of the weekend before, we went out to dinner with my parents and my brother, Ben, and his fiancé, Julia. It was to celebrate Ben's getting a new job and to celebrate our anniversary. My mom made us a cake, too, and we had some when we went back to their house after dinner, and my parents gave us a card and the money for our dinner out in Maine.
Yum =)
We left early Saturday morning and came back Sunday night. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too great (cloudy/rainy), but we still had fun. We went shopping (one of the things we bought was a Christmas tree ornament; every time we go somewhere for vacation, we get an ornament with the name of the place and the year on it), we played mini-golf, went to an arcade, walked downtown, went out to dinner at a fancy restaurant, etc. It was nice.

We came home Sunday night, had a regular week, and then on Friday night, we went to Dave's parents' house for dinner. They bought a "Happy Anniversary" ice-cream cake (I took a picture on my phone, but it didn't save it) and they got us a card and a gift card to Olive Garden.
The next day was our actual anniversary. We spent most of the day at home, and then we went out that night. Our first date was to Applebee's and the movies; so for our 1st anniversary, guess where we went....yup, Applebee's and the movies (the same exact restaurant and theater). =) This time, though, we also went to Coldstone Creamery for dessert. We saw "Toy Story 3" at the movies.
When we came home, we watched our wedding video and reminisced about how much fun our wedding was, and we ate some of the top of our wedding cake. It actually wasn't too bad, considering I don't think I wrapped it correctly when I put it in the freezer.
flowers from Dave ♥
We had a great anniversary and I can't wait to celebrate many many more with my wonderful husband. ♥
