Almost there

Almost there.  That wonderful wonderful place we all know as "being done with school for the year".  Now don't get me wrong -- I LOVE being a teacher.  I enjoy it so much.  What I don't enjoy too much, though, is teaching middle school.  I know some people really enjoy middle school (and there were definitely parts of it that I really enjoyed myself), but you have to have the right type of personality and experience for it and I just don't.  I was kinda put into this position without my approval and my boss promised me it would only be for a year.  I'm so happy he remembered that promise and has moved me to first grade for next year.  I adore first grade.  I've already been planning and looking into things for next year and I'm even helping the current first grade teacher clean up her classroom tomorrow so I can see what's there and get all excited about it.

I have 5 days left.  I think I'm gonna make it! =)

For the summer, I'm planning to work at camp again.  It's only gonna be part-time, but it'll make me enough money to pay for the two classes I'm planning to take in the fall.

Speaking of classes, I started my first summer course about two weeks ago.  I'm loving it!  It's a fun class and it's applicable to first grade, which makes it even better.  We don't even use a textbook.  Our required supplies were pencils, scissors, glue sticks, and crayons....I love elementary education classes!

I officially applied to the school a few weeks ago.  Once I find out if I'm accepted and I meet with my advisor and stuff, Dave and I are gonna sit down and go over stuff....stuff like money for the rest of my classes, saving for a house, and coming up with plans on when exactly we're gonna start looking for a house again and when we're gonna start trying to have a baby. Having to get my Master's Degree is what's keeping us from getting a house right now and from having a definite idea of when we're gonna start tying to have a baby.  It's such a pain, but I know it's gonna be worth it when I'm done.  If I don't get it, I'll lose my teaching certification; so I need to get it so I can keep that.  Plus, I'll be able to say I have a Master's Degree!
